Whether you’ve just moved to Porterville for work or school (if so, welcome!), or our city has been your stomping grounds for your whole life (I’m sure we’ve seen you around), every bit of Porterville is your playground from your home base at Village at Henderson Apartments. When it comes to convenience, it doesn’t get much better than our location just off Highway 65 and W Henderson Avenue. Errand-busting locations like Walmart, Target, Save Mart, and Food 4 Less are not miles but only feet away, making that last-minute trip to get that missing ingredient truly achievable by that final minute. Veterans Park & Skate Park is next door, and a quick jaunt south on Highway 65 and east on Olive Avenue will take just past Sierra View Medical Center and Porterville High School right into quaint Downtown Porterville. Back at home, the Porterville West Shopping Center has dozens of shops and restaurants to explore and find your new favorite local haunts (one of our favorites is this little-known Seattle-based coffee shop Starbucks, located just next door to our community).

Inside your 1 or 2-bedroom apartment home, we’ve leaned into styling with natural materials such as wood-style vinyl plank flooring and hard-surface granite counters, offset with clean, white cabinets and a light-introducing cool-tone color palette, to offer the ideal backdrop for your personal taste. For the fashion-minded among us, all of our apartments come with massive wraparound closets in the main bedroom, and each of our apartments comes standard with a private patio or balconies. And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for; every home at Village at Henderson comes standard with your very own full-sized washer and dryer! From now on, laundry “day” will be nothing more than a couple of sporadic hours throughout your week, and trekking to the laundromat will be but a distant memory.

With a location like ours, you might think you’d need to sacrifice community amenities, but Village at Henderson has got you covered both inside and outside our community. Club-style amenities like a huge pool and sundeck with jetted spa, built-in gas grills, shaded pergola, and outdoor fireplace make Village at Henderson your own private resort, available always at no additional cost. If indoors is your preference, our fitness center is equipped with cardio and weight machines, and a work-from-home-ready conference room is ready to take your productivity to the next level. A private clubhouse for residents and guests with an entertainment kitchen, TV, couches, and armchairs will make watching sports or the final episode of The Bachelor/ette a true cultural moment.

Pet Policy

Looking for a place where you and your furry companion can thrive? Village at Henderson is the perfect spot. We're pet-friendly and ready to welcome your four-legged family member. We permit a maximum of two (2) pets per apartment. Dogs and cats must weigh 35 pounds or less. We want your pet to feel welcome and appreciated, so there is no additional pet fee required at our community. A monthly 'pet privilege fee' of $25.00 is required per pet. It's a small fee for the privilege of having a loyal, loving companion, whose endless entertainment provides continuous fun. Pets are required to complete a pet application and acceptance process. Please contact the leasing center for details. Service animals are welcome. Please contact the Community Manager to request information on a service animal’s acceptance process. Breed restrictions apply. We do not accept: Afghan Hound, Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Shepherd, Basenji, Bloodhound, Bull Mastiff, Bulldog, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman, Elkhound, Fila Brasilerio, Foxhound, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Greyhound, Husky, Malamute, Pitbull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, St. Bernard, Staffordshire Terrier, or a Saluki breed. Exotic and poisonous pets are not allowed. We understand the allure of exotic animals, but we prefer to keep our furry (and non-furry) friends predictable and cuddly.
